Description:

 

Ensure smooth and efficient operation of bar service by providing prompt, efficient and courteous beverage service to guests in a responsible manner.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

 

  1. *Greet the guests with a friendly expression of acknowledgement and good wishes.
  2. *Accurately take beverage orders.
  3. *Mix and pour drinks per recipe cards using accurate measures, proper glassware and garnish.
  4. *Operate all equipment in bar area, e.g., Easybar system, coffee machines, beer taps and televisions.
  5. *Proficient use of point of sales system (cash register).
  6. *Accurately handle cash including balancing your bank to your sales report.
  7. *Monitor safe alcohol service to guests and follow procedures for any necessary cut-offs.
  8. *Address guest concerns with immediate resolve.
  9. *Complete knowledge of menu and beverage selection to include: wine, liqueur, liquor, champagne, and beer.
  10. *Complete knowledge of the restaurant to include specials, promotions, events, and policies.
  11. *Complete knowledge of the casino to include promotions, special events, answering guest inquiries and providing directions.
  12. Keep work areas clean, stocked and looking sharp at all times.
  13. Assist other team members as needed.
  14. Maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
  15. Keep up on all assigned side work.
  16. Based on business needs, may be required to work at other venues as assigned.
  17. Ensure full compliance with the department's Internal Controls, policies and procedures.
  18. Maintain good grooming and uniform standards as outlined in the company handbook.
  19. Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Requirements:

     

    1.    High school diploma or equivalency, preferred.

    2.    Previous bartending experience, preferably high volume.

    3.    Must have City of Milwaukee bartender’s license within 90 days of employment.

    4.    Proficient math skills to include cash handling and counting inventory.

    5.    Excellent guest service skills.

    6.    Strong organizational skills.

    7.    Ability to multitask efficiently.

    8.    Communicate effectively with staff and guests.

    9.    Maintain a positive attitude towards each guest and fellow employee and make work pleasant and professional.

    10.  Promote and participate in a strong team effort.

    11.  Successfully pass all job required training and tests.

    12.  Requires prolonged periods of being on your feet.

    13.  Requires ability to lift/push/pull light/moderate/heavy items, up to 60 pounds.

    14.  Position dictates working in a fast-paced environment and is subject to irregular hours including late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.


    Working Conditions
    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. When in the bierhaus, the noise levels increase.
